Price Model 2008
Based on market feed-back the price model for 2008 has been slightly simplified as compared to previous years.
- Only one E-Access Fee - There are no longer separate E-Access Fees for customers that wish to maintain print and for those that wish to move their print to e-only. Instead there is now one E-access fee that is applicable for all customers.
- Incentive on the E-Content Fee - To incentivize customer to move to E-only a 5% discount is offered on the E-Content Fee
Customers are required to maintain the value of existing subscriptions during the 3-year period of the license . This can be done in two ways:
- Continuation of existing subscriptions - The customer continues subscribing to the ALJC titles he subscribed to in the 2 years previous to signing the ALJC license agreement.
- Transfer of the value of existing subscriptions into an E-Content Fee –
Pricing Sample
A customer wishing to subscribe to the 2008 Medical collection who holds subscriptions with a value of 3,500 euro to the journals included in this package would pay the following:
When he wishes to maintain his existing subscriptions:
Value of existing subscriptions + E-Access Fee
3,500 euro + 9,350 euro = 12,850 euro
When he wishes to cancel his existing subscriptions:
(E-Content fee - 5% discount) + E-Access Fee
3,325 euro + 9,350 euro = 12,675 euro
