What titles are included? What subject collections are available? In addition to the full collection, we also offer 9 subject-specific collections Archaeology & History, Law, Life Sciences, Linguistics & Arts, Medicine, Religion & Philosophy, Science, Social Sciences and Technolog. Details of the packages and the titles contained in each are available here. Are back volumes included in the collection? Yes, back volumes from 1997 are included (where available online from the publisher). What does it cost? The price is based on your existing subscriptions, plus a small surcharge for electronic access to all the journals in the collection. This price is available on request. Is there a free trial period? Yes, 30-day free trial access to the collection is available here. How will I access the titles? Gain access via the 'Journal List' for the full collection via the 'Log in' at the top on right hand side or ... Gain access via the 'Journal List' per subject via the 'Log in' at the top on right hand side or ... Gain access via SwetsWise Online Content via the 'Log in' at the top on right hand side What if I’m not a current Swets/SwetsWise Online Content customer? We will set you up with a SwetsWise Online Content account through which you can access your licensed material. This will allow you to access all content via one platform. Do I have to change my usual agent? No, the collection can be ordered through your usual channels. Swets is acting as the publisher's agent in this instance and your agent will need to order from Swets. What if I already have a deal with one or more of the publishers? If you have already signed an agreement (such as a multi-year licence) with one or more of the participating publishers, you will still have access to those journals via the Collection; however, they will be excluded from the pricing calculations. What usage information do I get? For accesses to the collection via SwetsWise usage statistics are provided to both publishers and libraries on a regular basis. How do I order? Contact Katinka Bratvold (info@alpsp-collection.org) to discuss your requirements. What information should I quote on my order? We need the full invoicing and end user address, plus the library/consortium contact details: name, phone and fax numbers and email address and the IP ranges to which access should be given, if IP authentication is required. (See here for types of authentication available.) We also require a list of your current subscriptions with each of the participating publishers, which we will ask the publishers to cross-check against their own records. This information is essential to the order, as payments to publishers will be calculated on the basis of current subscriptions. Do I have to sign a licence with each publisher? No, Swets will sign a single licence on behalf of the participating publishers. How is access authenticated? By IP range, ATHENS or user name and password, according to the preference of the customer. Who do I contact if I have any further questions?
